Vice President - US Pricing


Health Advances is seeking an established biopharma leader to join its Newton office at the Vice President level. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in biopharma with relevant consulting and industry experience with a focus on US pricing and market access. The primary responsibilities will include client management, project oversight, business development, and staff mentorship.

Job Description:

Health Advances is looking to hire a VP focused on US pricing for its Biopharma Practice in Newton, MA. The VP will:

  • Work closely with the Biopharma leadership team to grow our strategic capability in US pricing and market access
  • Contribute to the Biopharma Practice business development strategy and its implementation, including periodic industry presentations and/or thought leading articles
  • Scope and sell projects to senior executives at biopharma companies
  • Oversee the successful delivery of project deliverables related to US pricing and market access
  • Mentor junior team members and help them grow professionally
  • Participate in Partner-VP meetings


  • Industry and/or strategy consulting experience for at least 8 years, preferably with business development responsibilities
  • Extensive experience and track record with developing successful drug pricing and access strategies in the US
  • Expert-level knowledge in how drugs are strategically priced, and how healthcare coverage, access and reimbursement works in the US
  • Expertise in US payer organizations, both government and private, and related stakeholders (PBMs, ACOs, etc.), as well as pharmacy and medical benefit structures
  • Understanding of evolving CMS policy landscape and implications for the biopharma industry
  • Strong capabilities in payer research, including primary market research and advisory boards, as well as pricing methodologies 
  • Strong network of potential client contacts/relationships to drive business in the U.S. pricing and market access area
  • Track record of speaking engagements/visibility in the industry
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Boston area

  • Must have advanced experience in Microsoft Office systems; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
